About me

Photo Taken with Martha Pullen

Sherilyn Siegmund-Roach is my full name, but I usually go by the simpler version, Sheri Roach.  I have been a public school teacher for over 24 years, and have taught students at all levels, pre-school through college.  My main subjects have been science, math, and gifted education.

I have embroidered, knitted, and crocheted since I was about 6 years old, and started machine sewing around age 12. I also learned shuttle tatting about 20 years ago, added machine embroidery to my repertoire about 9 years ago, and love working with innovative techniques in all of these needlework disciplines.  The Lord has truly blessed me with a love of needleart, as well as a heart to share that love with others.

In 2011 I became both a Jenny Haskins Accredited Tutor as well as a Martha Pullen Licensed Teacher.  I have many projects for heirloom and embroidery to share with people, as I believe everyone can achieve beautiful creations if they have the proper guidance.  I love to share and I love to teach.

I am currently living in Fairbanks, Alaska, where you can reach me easily by e-mail at cherishedneedlecreations@gmail.com.

I believe an heirloom is beauty and creativity shared across generations.  I look forward to helping you make heirlooms to share with others.
