Beginning serger and general sewing resource

I just found a wonderful new resource.  Well, it's new to me.  The University of Kentucky's Cooperative Extension service has a number of publications on sergers and sewing.  The publications, true to Coop Extension form, are short and sweet, but full of excellent information.  Take a look at their publication index at http://www.ca.uky.edu/hes/index.php?p=170.

The publications cover such things as selecting a serger, serger basics, zippers, seam finishes, and lots more.  If you scroll down, there are sections about sewing for children or for seniors.  There is a section on caring for your textiles and your machines.  What a treasure trove of information!
